Lavinia has just joined DRIAD as an Innovation consultant! Here is a short introduction interview.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I am a 28-year-old Swiss citizen with an Anglo-German background.
My husband is French and we live in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. I studied in Switzerland and have a Masters in Educational Sciences with Linguistics and Philosophy minors. I have been in many different educational environments stretching through teaching, finance, politics and research. In my spare time, I am a keen musician.

What are your interests in innovation and technology?

I am very interested in video games and the whole gaming industry. I have also been involved in diverse e-learning environments. I believe that gaming and learning can (and should) be intricately entwined and I would love to be part of that evolution.am very interested in video games and the whole gaming industry. What’s your speciality?

I have a very literary background which leads to my specialities mainly being focused around languages and communication; I understand language structure and love manipulating it. I speak French, English and German fluently (as well as Swiss-German but this hasn’t yet proven to be of any use in the UK!) and can write, translate, interpret or proofread in any of them. With a teaching background I appreciate getting people together, creating discussions and gaining knowledge through cooperation.

Anything you want to add?

My main strengths are problem solving, analytical thinking and organisational skills. I look forward to putting those skills to use for DRIAD.
