Léa has just joined our team for a four-month internship, to complete her master's degree in chemical engineering. Let's discover more about her!
Can you tell us a few things about yourself?
I’m a 21 year old French girl currently studying in Strasbourg but I come from Le Havre in Normandy. I’m studying at the ECPM, a chemical engineering institute within the University of Strasbourg. I recently joined DRIAD for a four-month internship to develop my knowledge about business, technology and project management all while improving my English.
I am rather shy, but I like discovering new countries and everything that goes with it: culture, way of life, food etc.
What are your interests in innovation and technology?
I think innovation can change a lot of things and improve our way of life. I am really interested in innovations in sustainable development. During my studies, I specialised in polymers and in future, would like to work on developing new packaging which is completely recyclable, renewable, and reusable. Thanks to innovation and technology, we have the right tools to go above and beyond.
What's your speciality?
In the past year and a half, I have learnt a lot about organic, analytical, and material chemistry, and specialised in polymer chemistry. Polymers are components of everything around us: plastic, paint, rubber, windows and even cosmetics. Through collaborating with L’Oréal this year, I was able to gain experience in project management with a team of other chemical engineering students. A few of my hobbies include going to the cinema and practising dance. I’m also part of a team that organises trips at the end of each academic year.
Anything you want to add?
I’m very excited to work with DRIAD as I’m eager to gain experience in marketing and an insight into the world of entrepreneurship. I hope this internship will place me on the right track to become a future consultant.
